About

Tealight Ministries is the name for the work and play of Steven Nicholas Colborne.

Steven is a first-class BA (Hons) graduate of the University of Westminster and holds a postgraduate certificate in Philosophy and Religion from the University of London. Perhaps more important than his academic qualifications is Steven's spiritual journey, which has involved immersive explorations of both Eastern and Western spiritual practices and philosophical traditions.

Steven has written more than fifteen books, including six full-length works, the most prominent of which is God's Grand Game: Divine Sovereignty and the Cosmic Playground, in which he presents a comprehensive overview of his philosophical perspective.

As a musician, Steven has composed in the heavy metal, electronic, and experimental genres, and he has diverse musical projects, including the band Marconi's Voodoo (prog-hardcore), solo work as Steven Colborne (experimental), and The Almighty Interplanetary Consciousness Explosion (a futuristic project still in its infancy). In Marconi's Voodoo, Steven won a competition in Kerrang! magazine to support ska-rockers Farse on a series of UK tour dates, and also headlined the O2 Academy in Oxford on several occasions and performed on the main stage at Truck and Charlbury festivals.

To become a counsellor, Steven attended several years of counselling and psychotherapy himself, seeing at least six different therapists representing different therapeutic approaches, before undertaking more than 150 hours of training.

Steven has a wide range of other interests and talents, many of which can be explored on this website. You can visit the shop to browse Steven's products.

A highly unusual individual in some respects, yet very normal in others, Steven is driven by a desire for justice and contentment. He established Tealight Ministries in order to share his creative work, offer his services as a counsellor, and embody his vision for universal peace.
